第十五届 拉丁格莱美奖 will take place this Thursday night at the MGM Gr和 Arena in Las Vegas. Eleven 满帆 alumni are credited as having worked on nominated projects, with three grads eligible to receive awards for their contributions should they win.

约翰Blais 和 S. 爱德华·斯科特，第一章 are both up for awards for their work as recording engineers in the 年度最佳唱片 和 年度最佳专辑 类别. John worked on Calle 13’s MultiViral, as well as Jorge Drexler’s 拜拉尔·恩·拉·奎娃. Scott worked on Carlos Vives’ Mas + 科拉松 Profundo

菲利普Tichauer is up for a statue in the category of Best Engineered Album for his work as a mastering engineer on Antonio Adolfo’s album 里约、Choro、爵士乐……

This marks the second year that 约翰Blais has been nominated. In 2011, he received a Latin GRAMMY for his work on Calle 13’s Entren Los Que Quieran. In 2010, he was working at a studio when Calle 13’s 爱德华多Cabra 走了进来. He mentioned he was having some problems with his recording set-up at home, 和 John offered to take a look at it. The two hit it off, 和 John has been working with the group ever since.

“Just to have the privilege to work with somebody like Calle 13, I listened to their music when I was in high school, 和 being able to work with them now has been absolutely amazing,约翰说。. “I was in the right place at the right time, but it helps to always show your passion 和 what it is you want to do.”
